- Cavtat
This charming little town is located only 30 minutes driving distance from Dubrovnik. It is the largest and the only urban centre in Konavle that has been built up deliberately. It is located on the peninsula of Rat, which surrounds the well protected and accessible bay together with the peninsula of Sustjepan. In its harmonious architecture, the centuries-old natural, spiritual and material affiliation to the Dubrovnik Republic can be observed.
Cavtat, the antique Epidaurus, was an important Roman colony in this region, which expires after the breakthrough of the Slavs and the Avarians into this area after the decline of the Western Roman Empire, and their inhabitants flee to the neighboring settlement Laus-Rave-Ragus, wherefrom Dubrovnik arose. In historical sources, Cavtat is also mentioned with the name Ragusa Vecchia, what clearly testifies to the connection of these two cities. In the times of the Dubrovnik Republic, Cavtat was the second most important seaport, place of trade and of administration in the Republic after Dubrovnik.
Places like Cavtat offering so much to the visitors are quite rare. Its scenery, the rich cultural and historical heritage along with the range of services offered meet the demands of our guests. It is a city in which one can still feel the spirit of the past time and experience the centuries old tradition of our ancestors. Use this calmness of nature, discover your wishes, and enjoy the hidden coves at peace, long walks at the seaside and numerous gourmet delicates.

It is located on the east coast of the Adriatic sea, between Neretva and Mali Ston channel, halfway between Dubrovnik and Split, with an area of 355 km2, and length of 65 km. It is connected to the mainland by the narrow passage at Ston. Other than natural beauties, Peljesac is famous for its wines. Thus, it is simply not possible to visit Peljesac and not see the Pelješac vineyards and allow you palate the pleasure of tasting top quality wines. During this tour you will have the opportunity to visit Trsteno, a small village 29km north-west of Dubrovnik, dating from the 5th century.

His collection of plants and schrubs was enhanced with baroque fountain with a statue of Neptune and nymphs in 1736. The last owner Vito Gučetić added a collection of sculptures and ancient stones. After WWII the estate was confiscated and given to the Yugoslav (now Croatian) academy of sciences that expanded the place into an arboretum. Further, follows the drive to Peljesac, which’s visit will be enhanced by wine tasting. On our way back, we will have a stop in Ston famous for farming the finest mussels and oysters.

- Trsteno, Ston
Trsteno is a small village 29km north-west of Dubrovnik. It got the name from trstika (reeds) which grows in abundance in the area. The settlement dates at least to the 5th century, according to the archeologist who found early Christian capital near the parish church. More recent are medieval tombstones (stečak). The area became part of the Dubrovnik Republic in 1399.

Dubrovnik noble families started building summer residences in Trsteno in the 15th and 16th century. One of them was Ivan Gučetić who built a chapel and a house in Gothic-renaissance style. His collection of plants and shrubs was enhanced with baroque fountain with a statue of Neptune and nymphs in 1736. The last owner Vito Gučetić added a collection of sculptures and ancient stones. After WWII the estate was confiscated and given to the Yugoslav (now Croatian) academy of sciences that expanded the place into an arboretum.
After the visit of the Arboretum Trsteno, we are continuing our journey toward Ston.
Ston is placed at the entrance of the peninsula Pelješac. For its rich history and the protective walls, which are the longest in Europe and especially for the cultivation of sea shells and oysters Ston is interesting for many visitors of the Dubrovnik region. - Split
The first inhabitant of Split was the Roman emperor Diocletian who started to build his palace in this friendly bay around 293 AD. After his abdication he withdrew to this luxurious palace of about 30 thousand square meters.
The following turbulent centuries made the palace into a town first populated by the citizens of the nearby Salona, fleeing before Avars and Slavs. The town overgrew the walls of the palace and its authorities kept changing - from Croatian kings in 10th century AD, Hungarian and Venetian administration, to French rulers and Austro-Hungarian monarchy.
Such past left its traces combined in the town everyday life. The city, however, went on remaining the centre of this part of the coast till our day. This mixture of historic layers brought some clumsiness and some things done too fast but today all that makes a part of its originality.

The big city today lives by the silent beats of history, lively spirit of the young and its particular Mediterranean charm.
During your visit of Split you will have the chance to see the Diocletian Palace, entrances to the St Dulmus cathedral, the treasury and the Diocletian’s cellars. Split, the second largest city in Croatia and “the capital of Dalmatia” had gradually developed around the palace of the Roman emperor Diocletian. From Diocletian’s cellars, Cathedral and the Temple of Jupiter to the Golden Gate (Porta aurea), across the Peristyle and the Market (Pjaca) to the breathtaking promenade (Riva) and further up the Marmont street, pass the fish-market and all the way to the Theatre. Experience this typical Mediterranean city.

- Sarajevo
Sarajevo is the capital city and largest urban center of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from Dubrovnik only cca. 4 hours driving distance. The city is located in Sarajevo valley of Bosnia proper, surrounded by the Dinaric Alps and situated around the Miljacka river. The city is famous for its traditionally religious diversity, with adherents of Islam, Orthodoxy, Catholicism and Judaism coexisting there for centuries. Although settlement in the area stretches back to prehistoric times, the modern city arose as an Ottoman stronghold in the 15th century.
Today the city is recovering and adjusting to a post-war reality, as a major center of culture and economic development in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In your discovering of Sarajevo two things are not to be missed, Bascarsija and variety on national dishes. The centre of Bascarsija, Sarajevo‘s old town, consists of the pretty Bascarsija square focusing on the sebilj(fountain) and the stick-armed pensioners selling seeds for the pigeons. Around it, some forty small carsija (streets), each named after the specific craft that was practiced in them. Saraci, the main street linking to Ferhadija is where the leatherworkers resided, and tiny Kazandziluk still houses mainly shops with hand-made copper products. Bascarsija houses Sarajevo‘s main Ottoman-era sights, most of which can be seen on a leisurely stroll of an hour. If you have been to Istanbul‘s bazaar complex, you‘ll recognize the spacious Ottoman architecture. Right on Bascarsija, you will find several small restaurants attracting you with the tempting odors of their cuisine.
